DIA'S ART JOURNEY

A small collection of work from the early 2000's to present day. Over time Dia has explored several mediums but has found home in acrylic paints.

Both sides of my family are blessed with the ability of craft. In my youth I watched my parents, uncle and too many family members create, repair, build, style, and more. All of them left some sort of impression upon me but most of all the three young men about were by far the most influential in my desire to continue creating art today. Paul and I would spend a lot of time together drawing watching television. Trey once drew one of the dopest pictures of the rapper Plies and it was so well done that I went in my room and continued to practice. Known all over the city as the man to see for tattoos, Kevin once saw some of my work and encouraged me to never stop drawing and one he'd even show me the ropes of tattooing. His approval of my work was so cool to me, considering how far he had grown with his work. To each of you, thank you for your influence and work. Rest In Peace Kevin (Greedy).
